What are we?

The Centre Européen d’Arbitrage et de Médiation (European Centre of Arbitration and Mediation) is a legal entity under the Alsace-Moselle law, formed in 1959, having its registered offices in Strasbourg, in the offices of the Strasbourg Bar. The Cyprus Chapter has been formed in collaboration with UCLAN University in Cyprus. 

How we operate

The European Court of Arbitration has two International Registrars, which deal with international arbitration,  and national chapters in various countries. Arbitral proceedings are instituted either when a dispute arises under an arbitration clause in a contract or – when the dispute has arisen – by entering into a submission agreement.
